Abstract
Time of the research program was to asses the impact of beach seine and similar fishing gears along the Italian coast. The results show that beach fishery is extremely selective and environmentally kind. Moreover beach seine fishery seems to offer good opportunities for aquaculture development being particularly suited for juveniles and broodstock supply.
