Abstract
Age and growth of bogue, Boops boops (Linnaeus, 1758) (Osteichthyes, Sparidae), have been estimated by otolith reading and modal progression analysis. Specimens have been collected from commercial fisheries monitoring and by experimental trawl surveys (MEDITS) in GSA 9. Fast growth rate was observed and no significant differences were found by sex and between the two methods.
